| CSMIC's mission is to contribute to the solution of cloud-based service measurement challenges by developing a Service Measurement Index (SMI) including: (1) a framework for organizing and classifying service measures and (2) a standard way of describing and documenting measures of cloud-based services.
CSMIC has developed and is publishing a Cloud Services Measurement Framework and is carrying out these important activities:
- Determining metrics and measures for major cloud-based services
-Collecting data and feedback from global B-to-B users to improve/refine the measurement materials and move toward development of standards
- Fostering development of tools and other resources to support objective measurement of cloud services
- Promoting use of the CSMIC material by industry, government and academic adopters worldwide.
